- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup honey pure, raw honey for authenticity
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon optional, for flavor
- 2 tbsp water adjust for dough consistency
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, salt, and cinnamon.
Add the olive oil and honey to the dry ingredients. Mix well to form a sticky dough.
Gradually add water, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together but isn’t too wet.
Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into a ball. Flatten them slightly into round cakes about 1/2 inch thick.
Place the cakes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cakes are firm.
Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm or at room temperature.
