Learn the Bible for Yourself – Know the true Word
June 26, 2025If you’re a Christian, you’ve likely faced this moment:
Someone taunts you and says, “If you can prove God is real, then I’ll believe.”
It might feel like your responsibility to defend your faith or convince them. But here’s the truth — you don’t have to, and you shouldn’t.
🙅♀️ When People Demand Proof, Walk Away
The Bible is very clear about this. Proverbs 23:9 says:
“Do not speak to fools, for they will scorn your prudent words.”
God Himself tells us not to waste our time arguing with people who aren’t truly open to hearing the truth.
Many people who demand “proof” of God don’t actually want it.
They’re not searching.
They’re stalling.
They’re looking for a justification to ignore God, not a reason to believe in Him.
🌱 Your Job Isn’t to Convince — It’s to Plant Seeds
As believers, our job isn’t to convert people or prove anything.
It’s to share the Word of God — and let Him do the rest.
Jesus said in John 6:44, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them.”
That means it is God who opens hearts, God who softens ears, and God who reveals Himself.
You cannot argue someone into salvation. You can only plant the seed.
⚠️ Don’t Let the Enemy Waste Your Time
People who mock, ridicule, or constantly challenge you aren’t interested in truth — they’re being used as distractions.
And Satan loves nothing more than keeping a Christian tied up in endless debates instead of reaching hearts that are ready to receive.
So move on. Speak to someone else. There are people who are hungry for hope, desperate for answers, and open to hearing the Word of God.
📖 But Is There Proof That God Is Real?
Absolutely — if you’re seeking, not taunting.
- Jesus’s life and death are historical facts — confirmed by over 99% of scholars, including non-Christian ones.
- His crucifixion is recorded not just in the Bible, but in the writings of Jewish and Roman historians like Josephus and Tacitus.
- Artifacts like the Shroud of Turin, ancient nails, and Jesus’s tomb site have all been studied and debated for years.
But proof alone doesn’t create belief. The Bible says God reveals Himself to those who seek Him (Jeremiah 29:13).
So if someone truly wanted to know if God is real — they’d already be seeking.
🙏 Want to Know God for Yourself?
God doesn’t require you to win arguments.
He invites you to walk in truth — and let that truth shine through your life.
If you’re someone who truly wants to know if God is real, start with these three steps:
- Repent – Be honest about your sins. Turn away from them.
- Believe – That Jesus died for your sins and rose again to give you new life.
- Seek – A genuine, personal relationship with God. He promises to reveal Himself to those who do.
