God Is Real (And You Can Find Out for Yourself)
July 2, 2025When you spend time with a follower of Christ, you should walk away feeling:
❤️ Loved
🤝 Welcomed
🙏 Encouraged
If instead you leave their presence feeling ashamed, inadequate, or intimidated, it’s time to pause and examine what’s really happening — because that’s not the Spirit of Christ.
🚫 Beware of Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing
The Bible warns us that not everyone who claims to speak for God is truly walking with Him:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” — Matthew 7:15
If someone makes you feel like:
- You’re not a “good enough” Christian
- You need them to stay spiritually safe
- You’re failing because you don’t know as much Scripture
- You must follow their teachings over Jesus’
Then friend, you’re likely not hearing the voice of God — you’re being manipulated.
These are signs of spiritual control, not spiritual leadership.
✝️ Jesus Doesn’t Intimidate — He Invites
Let’s remember who Jesus chose as His disciples:
Fishermen. Tax collectors. Everyday people. Not religious scholars. Not those with status.
He chose the unqualified — and qualified them through love, relationship, and truth.
So if someone makes you feel like you’re “not spiritual enough” to walk with God, remind yourself:
Jesus chose you.
Not because you’re perfect.
Not because you know every verse.
But because He loves you — and His grace is enough.
✅ What Real Christian Encouragement Feels Like
When you’re around someone who truly reflects Christ, you’ll feel:
- Built up, not broken down
- Invited closer to God, not pushed further away
- Reminded of God’s grace, not burdened by shame
Christian community is meant to uplift, guide gently, and point you back to Jesus — not to themselves.
🙌 Final Encouragement
Be wise. Be discerning.
If someone makes you feel less than in your walk with God, you don’t need to stay under their influence.
You don’t need to listen to anyone but Jesus.
Stick to His Word. Trust the Holy Spirit to guide you.
And remember — the true voice of Christ is one of love, not fear.
