Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden Bible Story
April 7, 2025“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” – Genesis 1:1
The story of Creation is the very first account in the Bible, laying the foundation for everything that follows. Found in Genesis chapter 1, it tells how God brought the universe into existence by His Word. It’s a beautiful and powerful declaration that everything we see—sky, land, sea, animals, and human life—was formed by the will and wisdom of God.
🌍 Day 1 – Light and Darkness
“And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.” – Genesis 1:3
God began by creating light, separating it from darkness. He called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” This marked the first day of creation.
🌌 Day 2 – Sky and Waters
“God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it.” – Genesis 1:7
On the second day, God created the sky (or firmament) to divide the waters and form the atmosphere.
🌿 Day 3 – Land, Seas, and Vegetation
“Let the dry ground appear.” – Genesis 1:9
“Let the land produce vegetation.” – Genesis 1:11
God gathered the waters so that dry land would appear. He called the dry land “earth” and the gathered waters “seas.” Then He created plants, trees, and all kinds of vegetation.
🌞 Day 4 – Sun, Moon, and Stars
“Let there be lights in the vault of the sky.” – Genesis 1:14
On the fourth day, God made the sun to govern the day and the moon to govern the night. He also made the stars, setting them in the sky to give light and mark seasons.
🐟 Day 5 – Sea Creatures and Birds
“Let the waters teem with living creatures.” – Genesis 1:20
“Let birds fly above the earth.” – Genesis 1:20
God filled the oceans with fish and sea creatures, and the skies with birds on the fifth day.
🐘 Day 6 – Animals and Mankind
“Let the land produce living creatures.” – Genesis 1:24
“Let us make mankind in our image.” – Genesis 1:26
On the sixth day, God created all land animals, then formed human beings in His own image—male and female (Genesis 1:27). He gave them authority over the earth and every living thing.
🙌 Day 7 – God Rested
“By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested.” – Genesis 2:2
On the seventh day, God rested—not because He was tired, but because His work was complete and perfect. He blessed and sanctified the seventh day, making it holy.
✨ Key Takeaway
The Creation of the World in Genesis shows us that God is the ultimate Creator—intentional, orderly, and powerful. Everything He made was good (Genesis 1:31), and it all points back to Him as the source of life.
