Genesis 6:11 – Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence.

Genesis 6:13 – So God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Exodus 20:13 – “You shall not murder.

Leviticus 19:17 – “You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him.

Deuteronomy 19:11 – “But if anyone hates his neighbor and lies in wait for him, and attacks him and strikes him fatally so that he dies, then he shall flee to one of these cities.

Deuteronomy 22:25 – “But if in the open country a man meets a young woman who is betrothed, and the man seizes her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die.

Proverbs 13:2 – From the fruit of his mouth a man eats what is good, but the desire of the treacherous is for violence.

Proverbs 16:29 – A man of violence entices his neighbor and leads him in a way that is not good.

Proverbs 29:10 – Bloodthirsty men hate one who is blameless and seek the life of the upright.

Isaiah 59:6 – Their webs will not become garments; nor will they cover themselves with their works. Their works are works of iniquity, and deeds of violence are in their hands.

Jeremiah 6:7 – As a well keeps its water fresh, so she keeps fresh her wickedness; violence and destruction are heard within her; sickness and wounds are ever before me.

Jeremiah 22:3 – Thus says the Lord: “Do justice and righteousness, and deliver from the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And do no wrong or violence to the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place.

Ezekiel 7:23 – “Make a chain! For the land is full of bloody crimes and the city is full of violence.

Matthew 5:21-22 – “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to hell of fire.
