Bible Verses About Jesus’ Authority Over Spirits

When Jesus cast out demons, it showed His power and authority as the Son of God. These Scriptures highlight His authority and the freedom He gives to those who believe, reminding us that true deliverance comes from Him alone. Demons are cast out by the name of Jesus Christ, fasting and prayer.

Matthew 10:1 – “And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction.”

Mark 16:17 – “And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues.”

Luke 10:17 – “The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!'”

Acts 16:18 – “And this she kept doing for many days. Paul, having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, ‘I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.’ And it came out that very hour.”

Matthew 8:16 – “That evening they brought to him many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick.”

Mark 1:34 – “And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.”
